Whether sea dwelling is your passion or profession, you will find the right vessel in our range. What inspired the Chameleon Craft concept and design philosophy was the lack of a water-based transportation platform that mirrors proven operational merits of multirole wheeled vehicles like the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.
All Chameleon Craft are versatile and durable machines. Like the vigorous lizard it is named after, with its utilitarian use, strength, adaptability, and flexibility it will master its habitat.
Speaking of design, engineering, hydrodynamics, let us introduce you our remarkable solution partners that went and still go the extra mile to make the Chameleon Craft one of the best built boats out there.
When we decided to adopt their concept and further develop it, UK based Anders Design provided us with the exterior and interior design to set a new standard in small craft marine transportation.
Our Naval Architect, Stimson Yachts of New Zealand encapsulated every aspect of our performance brief and materialized it in an unrivaled manner.
All lamination plans, structural engineering, material specs and load calculations bare the signature of Gurit Composites.
Wrap around “D-profile, smart foam filled side protection fender” (which also provide buoyancy in the case of a catastrophic hull breach) you can maneuver, dock, load and offload with ease without the concern for damaging the surface work of the vessel's own, the mother ship or a slip.
Molded stern drive cutouts diminish the incorporated water egress problems associated with conventional, wood reinforced transoms that are cut after the hull is build. And yes there is no water absorbing wood but rather an extreme-high-density, non-permeable foam core at the transom of every CC10.
The hull is scientifically optimized for all weather speed and stability. We even introduced a keel radius to soften the ride and to eliminate cavitation, sending undisturbed water flow to the propulsion units. This is especially crucial for water-jet propelled CC10s.
Emergency boarding step at the transom provide additional safety when operating the boat singlehanded. Provided that the boat is stationary you can easily utilize the drive leg and this step to hop back on board should you find yourself washed off the deck in to the drink.
We decided that the CC10 should have a built in slow speed / stationary stabilization mechanism in place. This called for port and starboard ballast chambers that automatically fill up and empty depending on the vessel speed. This feature is mainly foreseen for light specced CC10s with outboard engines for commercial operations that may require a heavier platform when stationary or at slow speeds.
A small but often overseen detail, hull markings such as lifting point markers, bow thruster / propeller location indicators are molded-in the hull making them permanent and visible throughout the life of the boat. Your lift operator will never have to guess that may risk the running gear of your CC10.
Thanks to its special hinge mechanism, the custom shaped and hydraulically operated trim tabs are mounted on the running surface of the hull rather than on the transom for maximum effect under steam at any speed.
Optionally available radar and navionics mast is specifically designed for the CC10 by Sacha Aven, it incorporates all navigation lights, auxillary
electronics, radar and search light.
